Old Stone Fort State Park
Old Stone Fort is a system of cliffs, stone walls, and
mounds that form an enclosure around a Native
American ceremonial ground.  This 50 acre site was
used for over 500 years as a gathering point for Native
Americans.  The mounds date back over 2000 years.  

The visitors center includes artifacts, educational
programs, and literature about this significant
historical place.  The ranger and staff are helpful and
will gladly answer any questions you have.
Park Activities
The park offers 51 campsites with water, electricity,
and RV hookups.  Excellent fishing can be found in the
Duck and Little Duck Rivers picnicking, A nearby golf
course, hiking, scenic waterfalls, and wildlife viewing
are all available at Old Stone Fort.
Hiking Trails
The main trail is easy, with some more hikes available.  
The main trail is a loop around 50 acres of grassland
that takes you past woodlands, ridges, waterfalls,
bluffs, and some beautiful creek views.  If you're in a
hurry, take just the main trail (only about 1.2 miles), but
try to take time to enjoy the Backbone and Moat Trails.
Golf
This par 36, 9 hole golf course was opened in 1965.  
The total yardage is 3,027.  The course is rated 67.3
with a slope rating of 112.  It is located approximately
one mile from the park.
